The nails which hold the skates on the Church roof are severely corroded (AKA nail rot) and need replacement. This means we will have to remove all the slates and then replace them. To this we have to get formal permission called a faculty, which is the equivalent of planning permission. This is normally posted physically at the Church in the COVID-19 world we have been asked to post it on our website the details are in the attached document.

We are part of the wider community in Leyland, Lancashire.

St Ambrose is a truly inclusive church. A place where our differences in theology both catholic and evangelical are reflected and celebrated within 'the bridge church ethos' of The Church of England. it is here we hope each person, regardless of ethnicity, belief, religion and sexual orientation will feel valued. We will try to welcome the honest seeker after truth and the curious, into a greater understanding of discipleship. Will you help us to achieve this?

Services at St Ambrose Churc

Following the government and diocesan guidance, public worship will re-commence on

Sunday 19th July.

All services will be held in the Halls as the church is closed for the Makeover Project.

There will be two services:

8.30am (Book Common Prayer Holy Communion)

10.30 am (said Holy Communion)

Every effort has been made to ensure everyone’s safety. Diocesan guidance has been very carefully followed. Services will be shorter, and the measures taken will mean that they ‘look different’. However, we look forward to welcoming everyone back to our church services. More details to follow.
